We were very excited to be approached by Mandy Curry, co-owner of Healthy Kids, Inc., to get the word out about her business and how HKI helps busy parents and other caregivers feed children in healthy ways.
Going through the process of developing key media messages made us realize — in partnership with the client — that the core desired messages were not evenly and clearly reflected on the website.
At that point, the most important thing we did for the client was this:
The survey results and analysis yielded valuable information (much of it suspected, but the survey confirmed it): HKI generated positive associations and had loyal existing customers, but the company was not communicating at the highest possible level what made their products and services unique. They needed to clean up a lot of website copy and really boil down what they offered to paying subscribers.
Today, I received this email message from Mandy:
“We launched our original HKI website last October. It was a massive project that took 12 months to complete. The site met our needs at the time, but as our business grew we quickly realized that we needed a few more options to take this to the level we envisioned.
In March, we made the decision that an entirely new platform and full re-design was necessary. It took the developers 3 months to get it all ready and us countless weeks to map the content over. We are excited to announce that we flipped the switch on the new site at 10pm last night. We are in love!!
Soon we will launch a new Product Store with really great products (you’ll be the first to receive coupons and discounts). We are also working on a forum so that you can communicate directly with the Dietitian monthly. Lastly, we are working on a BIG picky eaters module that will help you overcome any challenges you may be having at the dinner table. It’s our goal that this become a community, not just a recipe site. We really want to impact families across the country.”
